The government has issued a notification on December 7th extending the Aadhar Card linking deadlines from December 31, 2017 to March 31, 2018. This is applicable to all government and banking services except for Mobile numbers. Below, you can find a list of updated deadlines list.

  • PAN Card – March 31, 2018
  • Bank Account -March 31, 2018
  • Mutual Funds -March 31, 2018
  • Insurance Policies -March 31, 2018
  • Mobile Number (or) SIM card – February 6, 2018

Aadhar Card Linking Steps for all services

PAN Card

The easiest method to link Aadhar with PAN Card is using SMS. Please follow below steps:

  • Send SMS to 567678 or 56161 from your registered mobile number
  • The text should be in below format: UIDPAN<SPACE><12 digit Aadhaar><Space><10 digit PAN>

Bank Account

If you have an online internet banking account, it is by far the easiest method to link your Aadhar with your bank account. Just log in and your account home page will contain instructions and the link to make the change. If you do not have an online banking account, visit the nearest branch of your bank to make the linking.

Mutual Funds

One can visit the official website of an R&T provider like Karvy or CAMS. The website will provide the instructions and the link the link Aadhar with mutual funds.

Mobile Number (or) SIM card

The easiest method to link your mobile number with your Aadhar is through SMS. By sending an SMS to the official UIDAI number with your Aadhar number and the phone number you want to link, you will get an OTP. Once you send an SMS back to the UIDAI number with the OTP, your Aadhar will be linked to your phone number.
