The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is a Government initiative to provide subsidized housing for low income Indians with the goal of building 20 million homes by 2022. This article will list the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana online application form 2017 process, and how to fill up the form online.

How to apply – Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Online Form

  1. Go to the official website of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 
  2. In the main banner of the website, find the Citizen Assessment tab and scroll over it
  3. Click on the relevant tab of For Slum dwellers or Benefit under other 3 components
  4. On the next page enter your Aadhaar Number and click on Check button.
  5. This opens the full application form. Enter all the details.
  6. Complete the application and click Save. Once saved, you can print the application for your own needs.

Check Application Status – Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Online Application Form

  1. Go to the official website of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
  2. Scroll over Citizen Assesment and click on Track Your Assessment Status
  3. On the next page you can choose how you want to check status. Select one of ‘By name, Father Name, ID Type’ or “By Assessment ID’ and click submit.
  4. The website will display your application status.

Documents needed – PMAY Online Application Form

  • Aadhaar Number and details are mandatory. One can’t even start their application without a valid Aadhaar Number.
  • Identity Proof: One of PAN card, Voter ID, Drivers License, etc.
  • Minority and Caste Certificate: If one belongs to a minority community, the same can be proved using a Minority certificate or SC/ST/OBC certificate
  • Income Proof: An IT Returns document should suffice to prove income requirements. If the income of the applicant is below taxable limits, then the applicant can provide a certificate to prove Low Income or Economically Weaker Sections. If the applicant has a salary, a salary statement should be provided as addendum.
  • House Valuation Certificate: The applicant must submit the house valuation documents approved by a registered authority.
  • Bank Account Statements: The statements of all banks with which the applicant is currently banking have to be submitted.
  • Document to prove house construction: All applicants must submit documents such as construction approvals and cost certificate to prove that the applicant is planning to use the funds for the house.
  • Documents to prove no house: Applicants are also required to submit documents given through court affidavits to prove that the applicant or his family members do not currently own a home.
Note:-

Please note that the PMAY can only be taken advantage of by those who belong to lower income groups and economically weak sections. The loan could be canceled if the applicant uses misleading information to misrepresent income and other application details.
